Hanauma

One place I never lived on the island of Oahu was Hanuama Bay. This was because it was a heavily tourist location. This pasty year, I visited the island and would take a a day trip to the bay. Hanauma Bay is a crater from past volcanos on the island. Over thousands of years it has turned into a great reef for marine life. This was a place natives would fish and live off the thriving marine life. Once the island was annexed by the USA, the island turned into a tourist attraction, now people from all over the world come to see this place. The sad reality is that the majority of the reef is now dead and marine life is little in the Bay due to humans. We need to take care of our ocean and especially the life within it. Reefs make up a big part of our atmospheres oxygen and homes many types of fish and other marine life. Without fish, without the reefs, The human population can pay for the destruction caused.
